Otter Island Lighthouse is best seen by boat or from the air. The lighthouse is located within Pukaskwa National Park, which has a coastal hiking trail, but it does not go near the lighthouse. The park does have a water taxi service that might provide service to the lighthouse. A week-long sea kayaking tour through Pukaskwa National Park that offers a chance to visit the lighthouse is available. The lighthouse is owned by the Canadian Coast Guard. Grounds open, tower closed.
