The annual Muskoka Loppet will take place on Sunday, Jan. 28, at Arrowhead Provincial Park. The Muskoka Loppet is a Nordic ski event, in the classic style of skiing (no skating). The distances include a 5 km course for “social skiers” and children, and more challenging 15 and 30 km courses for recreational and competitive skiers.

Over the years, the popularity of the loppet has been increasing steadily, with over 300 racers expected this year. Consider taking part in this family-friendly event, even if you are not an experienced skier. The emphasis of a loppet is on fun!

Holding a weather-dependent event is always a challenge but the organizers are confident that comfortable winter conditions will make this a perfect day.
