Description

This program is a great introductory course for 5-7 years old students. As the name suggests, the program is aimed to introduce engineering concepts using the Lego Educational tools to the future engineers. Participants will be
building from twenty mechanical models using simple double-sided full-color building instruction cards. They will use gears, levers, pulleys, wheels, and axles, as well as a plastic punch-out sheet with eyes, sails, scales, and wings. They will build amazing structures, vehicles, and creations.

We will start each class with a brief story-based challenge and then use a Lego Education kit to build our own solutions. Each lesson will have real-life applications of the concepts we cover while building!

Kids will love to come back each week once they start the program and get into solving various engineering challenges appropriate for their ages.

Here are the key learning values for them:

1.

Exploring basic mechanical principles such as gears, levers, pulleys,
wheels, and axles

2.

Investigating force, buoyancy, and balance

3.

Solving problems through design

4.
Investigating structures, friction, and flow

5.
Working with others and sharing findings

6.
Using their creativity to find unique solutions to problems both, individually and in groups
