| Description | Bring your skates, sleds and bathing suits! Ice making is underway, the saunas will be stoked, and bands playing at River & Sky’s inaugural winter festival – Shiver & Sky – on Family Day, February 19th. The old school wintertime fun begins at 11 a.m. and runs until 5 p.m. at Fishers’ Paradise, in the community of Field, West Nipissing – partway between Sudbury and North Bay. Taking place the Monday of Family Day, this is an event geared for families and friends. “Ice has been carved out and flooded on the oxbow with three shiny rinks and a skating path. The saunas will be fired-up and a sliding hills being groomed as well. Dress warmly so you can enjoy a day outside in nature listening to some great bands,” said Festival Director Peter Zwarich. “If you’d like to lend a hand, we are always looking for volunteers to help out.” This one-day outdoor festival will feature some R&S favorites as well as some new bands.... |
