Mukluk-Making Workshop

with Manitobah Mukluks Storyboot School


$200 General Admission

FREE for Indigenous Youth (First Nations/Metis/Inuit 12-30 yrs)


Join us for this 8 evening workshop to make your own pair of beautiful puckered toe mukluks!


This workshop is designed to teach classic hand sewing techniques in beading and leatherwork. Stephanie Pangowish, skilled Indigenous artisan and Storyboot School instructor, will guide you through the steps of creating mukluks by hand including pattern-making, beadwork, design, and caring for your finished item. Students will be provided all the necessary tools to complete their project and will be guided through the process from hide to finished product.


24-Hour Session

When: Sundays, 1:00-4:00pm

January 6, 13, 20, 27, February 3, 10, 24, March 3

Limited Space is available. In order to secure your spot in the workshop you must purchase your tickets online. All workshop fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. If cancelled 7 days prior to workshop a credit in the same amount will be issued for future Storyboot School workshop use. We can also accept payment via email money transfer. This is a workshop is geared towards youth 12+ and adults. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.


Mukluks and moccasins pictured are created by Storyboot Artists Cynthia Boehm, Stephanie Tenasco and Amber Wood and for inspiration only. Materials, bead colours, etc. may vary.




FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

No, however children under 12 must be accompanied their parent/guardian.

What can I bring into the event?

We will provide all materials needed, however if you wish to bring your own beads, leather, materials etc. please feel free!

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You do not need to bring your ticket or ID, please just provide us with your name. You will be asked to sign in at the start of every class

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

If you would like for someone to attend in your place, please have them give us your name (or the name that is on the original ticket) for the first class.
