| Description | Learn the basics of modern calligraphy in the Intro to Calligraphy Workshop, taught by Toronto-based calligrapher & designer Alicia Spence.
In this 2.5-hour workshop, you'll use Pointed Pens & Ink to learn how to master each pen stroke, write the upper and lower case alphabet & numbers, and connect letters to form words. Lots of tips and tricks will be shared, and each student will get individual attention in a small class size setting.
No experience is required, and all supplies are included with registration, so you can continue your lettering journey at home!

What's the difference between your brush lettering and calligraphy workshops?
In the Brush Lettering Workshop, we learn with brush pens and markers. These are similar to brushes, but are easier to use and great for beginners. In the Calligraphy Workshop, we learn with pointed pens and ink. They both have similar rules, but the tools change so there's a different technique and they can be used to achieve different looks and styles.
Can we bring anything to the class?
Yes for sure! All supplies are included with registration, so you won't need to bring anything to get started. But feel free to bring your own food or drinks if you'd like - coffee, tea and lemonade are provided by Make Lemonade!
