Farmers are passionate about the food grown on their farms and have been stewards of the land for centuries. But what about locally? In Ontario 98% of the farms are family owned, and one Ontario farm generates enough food for 120 people! Our area is lucky to have farmers and the Powassan Farmers' Market has been in our community for 30 years. That’s right, 30 years of bringing you fresh, local produce! What else will you find at the market? In addition to some of the tastiest veggies available, there is baking, barbequed sausage and coffee, perennials, goat’s milk soap, lotions, preserves, jewelry and other crafts. Come join the fun – we are beside 'The Beer Store' every Saturday. Rain or shine, you can find us there, from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm starting May 19th to October 6th.
