Mattawa Island is located in the historic setting of the town of Mattawa. Nestled near the mouth of the Mattawa River and accessible by road, the island features a variety of family friendly activities. The island provides a beach, picnic facilities, a swimming area, volleyball and tennis courts and is the finish line for NBMCA's annual Mattawa River Canoe Race (64 and 13 km races for marathon paddlers, families and youth).
