Once a landfill site, Mission Island Marsh Conservation Area is a true testament to the power of nature. Now home to a network of Learning Trails, an accessible boardwalk, viewing scopes, lagoons and forests, the marsh offers fantastic birding, gorgeous views, and wonderful recreational opportunities. Learn about the Conservation Area’s formation and other unique information about this Provincially Significant Wetland in the interpretive pavilion, enjoy lunch on one of the picnic tables, or just meander along the trails, and see what wonders you may find. You’re bound to see any number of animals, especially birds during the fall migratory period.
