Imagine the Marsh Conservation Area

The Imagine the Marsh Conservation Area, located on Katchewanooka Lake in Lakefield, offers visitors a wonderful opportunity for wetland exploration and appreciation! This keystone property was acquired by Otonabee Conservation in 1996, for the conservation of a provincially significant wetland, source water protection, biological diversity and conservation education as well as nature appreciation. The property was acquired with the generous involvement of local citizens, the Imagine the Marsh Committee and the Otonabee Region Conservation Foundation. The Imagine the Marsh Conservation Area features a floating boardwalk, interpretive signage, and a two-level viewing tower.
