Description

Harry Smith Conservation Area

Activities: Free Admission, Picnic Facilities, Hiking, Explore the Outdoors

The walking trail encircles the pond and takes the hiker past some of the foundations of past buildings and along a wooded escarpment. The 1.5 km trail circles the pond, returning to the parking lot. For a nice waalk, follow the trail by starting half way down the hill and taking the path along the lower edge of the escarpment. Keep the pond in sight and cross the boardwalk past the west end of the pond where the trail begins to climb the escarpment on the north side of the pond. Follow the trail, keeping the pond to your right at all times. The trail then begins to descend and comes around at the east end of the pond and ultimately back to the parking lot.
