This 140 hectare (346 acre) property is at 2061 Old Highway 2 in Belleville, just west of Wallbridge-Loyalist Road. Parking is available north and south of Highway 2. The home base for Quinte Conservation, this area offers an abundance of recreational opportunities. Trails wind through this former farm, past fragrant orchards, open meadows and scenic woodlands. Dog lovers have the “Pooch Path”, an area to let their pets walk unleashed. Hikers, bikers and cross country skiers will enjoy the trails. The park area overlooking the Bay of Quinte provides a great starting point for canoeists, kayakers and windsurfers. This site was originally settled around 1815 and was operated as a farm and orchard from 1910 – 1973 when it was purchased for a Conservation Area.
