WWLA is now presenting the new training materials developed for Volunteer Canada's most recent version of the Canadian Code of Volunteer Involvement, released this October 2017. This three hour (plus) session will provide you with a slick review of the completely revised training program around the Ten Standards of the new 2017 version of the CCVI code. This training is also available on line and there are subsidies for member organizations. Based on the complete volunteer management cycle, all workshops will provide a complete introductory series on topics including: recruitment, screening, orientation, recognition, risk management and more. Certificates will be issued upon completion. You are welcome to also register other staff or volunteers which may provide you with the perspective to building new foundations for your volunteer program. Trainers: WWLA Team Members; Kim Cusimano, PIN People and Information Network, Carly Genys, United Way Volunteer Centre, Dianne Boston-Nyp, Volunteer Action Centre of KW and Area Formerly the Shifting to Engagement workshop series now being offered in all three cities as one complete workshop. Participant Limit: 20 Fee: $45 for members* or $59 for non-members. Subsidies may be available.*members of Volunteer Action Centre of Kitchener-Waterloo & Area, PIN (formerly Volunteer Centre of Guelph/Wellington) or United Way of WR (formerly Cambridge & North Dumfries) Volunteer Centre. A Note About Cheques: Cheques should be made payable to the Volunteer Centre of Guelph/Wellington RE: Waterloo-Wellington Learning Alliance, 46 Cork Street East, Unit 1, Guelph, Ontario, N1H 2W8 Registration & Cancellation Policy: Fees for workshops, training opportunities, and events are due prior to or on the date of the event. The Waterloo-Wellington Learning Alliance reserves the right to request fees in advance. Participants who have registered for a workshop, training opportunity, or event with the Waterloo-Wellington Learning Alliance will be invoiced for the fee associated with the event if cancellation is not made at least 3 business days prior to the date and time of the event. Cancellation fees will be waived if the participant can find and guarantee an alternate to attend. The Waterloo-Wellington Learning Alliance reserves the right to cancel a workshop. In the event of cancellation, full refunds will be issued to all paid registrants within one month. Parking: FREE parking is available but limited on site.
