YOUTH AND ADULT WORKSHOPS AT THE WORKERS ARTS & HERITAGE CENTRE Our new Saturday programs for youth and adults 12 and up will give visitors an opportunity to have unique, inter-generational learning and art-making experiences that connect with the themes featured in our museum. All programs start with a short guided tour of our main gallery exhibition. These workshops are a great chance for parents and teens to work side-by-side or together on a creative project. All programs are PWYC! Pre-registration is required via Eventbrite; space in each workshop is limited. All are welcome. February 3rd, 1:30-4 pm Spoken Word and Activism with Janice Jo Lee How can we use poetry and storytelling to connect with people in our community towards a more socially and environmentally just world? In this workshop, musician and educator Janice Jo Lee will assist you with writing, sharing and workshopping short pieces of writing for performance. Participants will practice performance to a rhythm created together and play with beatboxing and melody. This workshop will be paired with a short tour of Kwentong Bayan's exhibition BALIKBAYANxCOMICS at 1:30. Workshop starts at 2 pm.
