Presentation Topic: 'The Future of Quality Management Systems - Using Technology to Your Advantage'
Presenter: Bill Horricks, BSc, MBA, P. Eng, B. Sc. Mechanical Engineering, Professional Engineer of Ontario. His real education came from 25+ years in Business Management, Sales and Marketing, Continuous Improvement and Systems Design in industries as diverse as steel service centres in Canada to manufacturing egg incubation facilities in developing countries. He has worked with manufacturers in North America, Asia and the EU, designed products and services for retail, commercial and industrial markets and has dramatically grown business throughout the world. A simple process to examine world economic trends, combined with a philosophy anchored in continual improvement and quality products& services, continues to be the “secret” sauce for success in changing markets.
Abstract: Presentation will show how technology is changing the quality landscape, what to expect in the near future as companies strive to maintain their competitive advantage and how you can be on the right side of the changes. Discussions will include how these changes are likely to affect the quality manager’s role and how to be correctly positioned in a rapidly changing world.
