This year’s Beaverton Lions’ Winter Carnival takes place Saturday, Feb. 3, kicking off with a delicious pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. and community bake sale at the Beacan Presbyterian Church. This is followed by a silent auction at the Beaverton Town Hall. 

At  Old Mill Gateway Park join in the fun on the ice slides or tackle the zorb balls, snowball target toss and mini golf. Everyone can get into the carnival spirit with face painting by Sharon Bell or have some fun with the kids tug of war. The always popular horse drawn wagon rides have also returned. There will be warming stations in the park. Finish up the day with free family skating at the Beaverton Arena from 2 to 4 p.m.

Admission to everything is a Winter Carnival button, purchased in advance from any Beaverton Lion or downtown merchants for $2 or $3 on Winter Carnival Day.
