Tariq Ali, one of the most important public intellectuals of the last century, discusses his latest work and his thoughts on the retreat of the Left from democracies around the globe.

Please don't print your tickets! We're trying to reduce paper waste for Salon events, so please don't bother printing your ticket. We'll either either scan your ticket on your smartphone or quickly find your name on our tablets and check you in.

Arrive early, meet people. The talk starts at 7:30pm, but doors open at 6:30pm, so come early so you can chat with some of your fellow Tariq Ali fans, and make new friends. As with all Salon events, we'll have a full bar with a selection of beers, wine, and liquor, as well as sandwiches and snacks.

A note about tickets: As most events in the Appel Salon are free, it is our policy to overbook. In case of a full program, your ticket reservation may not guarantee admission. We recommend you arrive early.
