Course Details

The Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) training class is a two-day learning experience that provides students a full immersion into Agile principles as well as the concepts and practices that define the Scrum framework.

The class is presented in a highly interactive and collaborative format with elements of games, simulations, videos, and classroom discussion interwoven into the lecture.

Upon completion of the class, students will be eligible to take the Scrum Alliance online exam and become a Certified ScrumMaster.

Who Should Attend

The CSM course is appropriate but not limited to aspiring ScrumMasters, Delivery Team Members, Product Managers, Project Managers, and Organizational Team Leaders seeking a deep understanding of the principles and practices of Scrum.

Course Outline

Upon completion of this course, students will have been exposed to:

• Lean & Agile Principles

• Scrum Values & Principles

• Scrum Framework Core Elements: roles, activities, and artifacts

• Scrum Roles: ScrumMaster, Product Owner, Development Team

• Comparsion of the traditional Project Manager role to the ScrumMaster role

• Scrum meetings (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, Retrospective)

• Scrum estimating, planning, and metrics

• Prioritizing goals and developing in an iterative environment

• Environments that may or may not benefit from Scrum

• Transparency, Inspection, and Adaptation

• Continuous improvement

• Scaling Scrum

PMP and PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) Certifications:

Participants may claim 14 Project Management Institute (PMI) Professional Development Units (PDUs) which can be applied to Project Management Professional (PMP) and PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certifications.

Scrum Alliance CSP (Certified Scrum Professional) Credits:

This course also allows students to claim 16 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) toward the Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) designation.

Cancellations:

If we receive your request to cancel no later than 7 days prior to the class, you will receive a 100% refund. If we receive your request less than 7 days prior to the class, you will not be eligible for any refund. At that time, however, you will still be able to transfer or reschedule your registration as follows:

Q: Can I reschedule to a different class date?

If you would like to reschedule (i.e. transfer your registration to a different class date), we can do that for you as follows:

• If the class to which you are transferring has a higher ticket price, you will need to pay the difference in price. If the class has a lower ticket price than what you originally paid, you would be eligible to receive the difference returned to you.

• If you notify us no later than 7 business days prior to the class and it's your first time rescheduling this particular registration, there will be no transfer fee. If you reschedule the same registration more than once, we will charge an additional 20% fee for each rescheduling after the first time.

• If you notify us less than 7 business days prior to the class, we will charge an additional 10% fee if it is the first time you are rescheduling this particular registration. If the same registration needs to be rescheduled more than once, we will charge an additional 20% fee for each rescheduling after the first time.

Q: Is my registration/ticket transferrable to another person?

Please notify us and this can be done at any time free of charge.

Exception:

If agile42 has to cancel a class for any reason, you will receive a 100% refund.

Q: Do I have to bring anything with me to the class?

Leave your laptop at home and bring a pen and a smile. You will be provided with a workbook.
