This past summer I had the pleasure of visiting the island of Crete for the third time. Once again I return with many vivid memories, including some of the fantastic Cretan dishes I got to enjoy.

Join me on Sunday, Nov.11th at St. Lawrence Market Kitchen for a Taste of Crete - Greek Supper Club. Nisos Importing with be providing many of the specialty products for the dinner, including Cretan olive and Zaros still and sparkling water.

All the wines will be paired with Lyrarakis Wines (Heraklion) and poured by Chris Dedes of Majestic Wines and Spirits.

Cretan Dakos with Tomato, Feta, Oregano

Sfougato (Cretan Omelet) with Potato, Onion and Eggs

Apaki (Cretan Smoked Pork) with Honey, fresh thyme

Housemade Bread

1st course: Baby Arugula with Sun-dried Tomato, Orange, Graviera Cheese, Cretan Petimezi Dressing

2nd course: Skioufichta (Cretan) pasta With Butternut Squash, Brown Butter, Sage and Grated Cheese

Main Course: Slow-Cooked Lamb with Anthogalo and Crisp Roast Potatoes

Dessert: Cretan Style Cheesecake, Dako Crust Topped with Honey and Walnuts
