EPION is sponsoring a three day training on Action-Based Cognitive Remediation (ABCR), taking place November 20-22, 2018 in Toronto.

About the Training
Educational presentations, video reviews, handouts, demonstrations, and role-plays. The training includes a treatment manual and supplemental material that provides the theoretical background, structure of the group, illustrated use of procedures, and specific techniques. Videos of actual sessions are reviewed and role-plays are used to demonstrate treatment techniques and troubleshooting.

Expected Outcome

At the end of the three day training, participants will be able to deliver the intervention upon return to their programs.

EPI programs can translate the learning into planned ABCR interventions with clients. A new client intervention will be available in communities across the province, with ongoing linkages to the trainer for support.

Supports Post-Training
Follow-up telephone or online consultation for ongoing supervision and fidelity checks will be available to all participants, delivered by Dr. Bowie and his team.

How will EPION support the training?
This training will be cost shared between EPION and EPI programs. EPION will cover trainer's costs, venue, catering, eligible travel and accomodation expense and accreditaiton fees for participants completing the training.

Cost to Programs

$650 per participant which covers training materials, treatment manual, handouts and other materials to use with clients, as well as props to use in delivery the intervention.

This training is limited to a maximum of 30 participants.
