The New Normal Comedy Show celebrates comedians whether they are seasoned stand up comedians, open mic performers, artists, or hilarious youtubers. The Toronto community will be in awe at the overlapping themes of humour and narratives shared by those less represented.

The New Normal will celebrate diversity by representing black, indigenous, people of colour (BIPOC), women, the LGBTQI+ community, abilities, faiths, and/or refugees/immigrants.

For us, representation matters, and for us, this show means our stories and lived experiences can have a supportive audience (like you!) who can understand that "jokes" don"t have to come at the expense of marginalized people like women (and other vulnerable communities).

We appreciate that you, the audience, will make The New Normal a safe space by bringing your a-game to inclusion and ability to laugh and cheer us on (is it a comedy show or motivational space: can it be both?!)

P.S. The Office Pub does turn into a hallows'eve jam at 10pm, so they have extended the invite that we stay for free and enjoy.

Proceeds will be donated to Adayalam CPR in Jaffna, Sri Lanka. An organization our host @Thurka had the privilege of working within her homeland, earlier this year by teaching Tamil journalists media skills, and leading workshops with Tamil feminists, orphanages and schools supporting Tamil girls.
