This year, the TDSA will be hosting a Housing Forum focusing on the need for 5% of housing developments to be dedicated to individuals with a developmental disability. There will be 6 presentations from community members engaged in areas of housing and developmental services.

• Update on TDSA Housing Sub-Committee work for this year, summarize outcome of 2017 Housing Forum, review of the TDSA website

• Why the message of advocating for 5% of new affordable housing be designated specifically for people with a developmental disability is so significant

Michele McMaster - Toronto Affordable Housing Consultant/ Affordable Housing Client Solutions, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation

• Update on any upcoming funding/housing-related opportunities through the National Housing Strategy

Affordable Housing Office Representative, City of Toronto

• Provide information on affordable housing options throughout the City, working with non-profit sector for more access to housing for people with a developmental disability

Alexandra Shannan - Service Navigator/Housing Coordinator, Developmental Services Ontario Toronto Region

• Update on the Housing Toolkit the DSO is creating, as well as any other work in progress for the DSO Housing Coordinators

Tim Neeb - President, Mahogany Management

• Will speak about Mahogany Management"s commitment to building affordable social housing, experience in partnering with non-profits and what housing developers need from non-profit service providers
