Carlo has promised to show us a collection of the original SSBD drills and content. For many of us training remotely in this system, this is an opportunity to see the underpinnings of the martial art we study. Carlo is a humble, fun and detail minded instructor and has been one of the greatest supporters of the development of the Canadian SSBD Training Group, led by Shawn Zirger.

I look forward to showing him some Canadian respects in the class room, and our own Toronto hospitality as we take this opportunity to introduce him to our city.

Bring eye protection, indoor training shoes and comfortable training cloths.

As with all Martial Arts, SSBD training comes with the risk of injury. Bring a good attitude and your best communication skills in order to reduce risk.

SSBD involves take downs and therefore falling. Make sure that you practice within your own abilities, and inform your training partners if their energy exceeds your own ability to safely land said falls.
