Are you ready to take your calligraphy to the next level? Do you love lettering and want to introduce some new tools to your kit? Get ready to expand your skillset and experiment with beautiful watercolours at this brand new Workshop produced by Embiria Curated Experiences, and led by the talented Sylvia of Via Calligraphy (@viacalligraphy).

Join us for an evening of lovely lettering and playing with colour at Project Spaces. You'll learn the basics of watercolour as a medium, setting up your palette, watercolour techniques, and expand on the foundational skills for writing basic letter forms with a brush pen. Each student will work towards creating a final piece to take home (and frame on your wall?!) You'll also have time for hands-on learning with plenty of one-on-one time. All supplies and materials are included in the course fee. You get to keep your very own beginner watercolour paint palette, water brush and more. This class is designed for letterers that have existing beginner experience with brush pens.

Note: This Workshop will be focused on a expanding your brush lettering skillset and will not cover any aspect of beginner brush calligraphy. You must have experience with brush pens and an understanding of basic strokes and pressure to get the most out of this course. Sylvia is a downtown Toronto girl who loves her city as much as Drake does. When she's not working her day job in Digital Marketing, she's working on calligraphy commissions or teaching brush calligraphy at in-person classes in the city with the hopes that her students fall in love with lettering as obsessively as she did.

Sylvia started her lettering journey when she wanted to paint on her favourite leather jacket for her wedding. She spent hours every night practicing her font before finally creating #thejustmarriedjacket. After the big day, she didn't want it to be hidden away in her closet so now she rent it out to local brides to wear on their wedding days.

Embiria joins together a community of like-minded people over creative and wellness based Workshops / Experiences (like this one!). You'll find unique activities such as calligraphy, plant workshops, fitness, yoga x brunch, meditation and cooking classes that you can book on your own or come to with friends!
