Her work focuses on creative audio, and has been awarded a New York Festivals' Gold Medal, a national RTNDA award and has frequently been featured at the International Feature Conference. Lindsay has represented Canada at the European Broadcasting Union Master School on Radio Features in Berlin and Brussels. She created and produced the CBC Radio documentary series Subcultures and has also worked on The Sunday Edition, Q, and Outfront. Lindsay is a trained opera singer and is the artistic director of the experimental opera company Liederwolfe. She also likes birdwatching, pop-culture internet trends, and Canadian indie music. Vicky Mochama Vicky is the national columnist for StarMetro and a columnist for the Toronto Star. She has written for Vice, Globe and Mail, and Hazlitt. She is the co-host of Safe Space and former co-host of Canadaland Commons. She is a writer and host at Vocal Fry Studios. Katie Jensen As a Toronto-based freelance podcast producer and writer, Katie has worked on podcasts for Star Metro, St. Joseph's Media, VICE, The Atkinson Foundation, and Polaris Music Prize. For two years, she produced for CANADALAND, an award-winning news startup, where she co-created The Imposter. She created a PWYC inclusive podcast workshop series, and has spoken at Bloor Hot Docs Podcast Fest, World Radio Day, NCRA, CAJ, Bechdel Tested, CFZU"s Listen Up! and Pop Montreal. She is audio producer at Vocal Fry Studios. In her free time, she programs for Feast In The East, a monthly music, food, and art installation series, is a Polaris Music Prize jury member, and plays in the band Baby Cages. Reagan Kapasi Reagan is a youth Librarian at the Runnymede branch in Toronto. She has taught both user education and Talk About Books-style classes about podcasts at the library. Reagan started listening to podcasts in 2016 while wrapping Christmas presents and has been an avid listener ever since. She usually listens while running with her dog Lennon and is currently listening to Vanity Fair's Little Gold Men - - a podcast dedicated to all things movies and television. Claudette Mayne Claudette is a Librarian at Toronto Reference Library's Digital Innovation Hub and her favourite podcast is NPR's Tiny Concerts. She's also organized workshops for the Innovator in Residence Podcast specialist this Fall, featuring Amanda Cupido, an award-winning podcast producer and the author of Let's Talk Podcasting: The Essential Guide to Doing it Right'. Shelve Under: Podcast Shelve Under: Podcast is a brand-new podcast about library things for library people. It's put together by TPL staff: Wendy Banks, Digital Content Lead, Collection Development; Jason Behzadian, Senior Library Assistant, College-Shaw branch; Ted Belke, Senior Service Specialist, Innovation; Michael Warner, Youth Service Specialist, Pape-Danforth branch; Christina Wong, Page, Lillian H. Smith branch. In our first season, we talk about Toronto, comics, mental health, werewolf romance, robot wars and much, much more.
