Colchester Reef is situated near the western end of Lake Erie, roughly six kilometres off Colchester, Ontario, and was the site of several vessel strandings in the 1800s. Colchester Reef Lighthouse is best seen by boat. The lighthouse is owned by the Canadian Coast Guard. Grounds open, tower closed.
