Wawanosh Valley Conservation Area

Wawanosh Valley is a large property best known as the site of the Wawanosh Centre for Conservation Education. The property contains a diversity of natural habitats making it ideal for conservation education programs. Programs and special events are offered year-round. The site is also a terrific spot to come for a walk and explore forest, meadow and wetland areas. Cyclists are also welcome provided they stay on the trails. Pick up a trail map at the kiosk near the parking lot and explore the scenic Maitland River Trail. The Belgrave Creek also flows thorugh the property and also offers good trout and salmon fishing.
