The Gillies Lake Conservation Area is home to the most popular walking trail in the City of Timmins. It features a boardwalk, numerous storyboard boards describing the natural history of the area, wildlife viewing opportunities and a 2.5 km lit walking trail. Gillies Lake is a beautiful 20 hectare lake located in the heart of the City.The Conservation Area can be accessed from Park Road off of Algonquin Blvd. East or from Highway 655. Some of the Gillies Lake Conservation Area amenities include: Public washrooms, Supervised public swimming area, Picnic facilities, Sports field, Groomed Winter Trail.
