From ON-540 south of Gore Bay, take ON-540B into Gore Bay, and then follow Water Street north along the west side of the bay. Water Street will become Lighthouse Road after leaving Gore Bay, and you will find Gore Bay Lighthouse at the end of Lighthouse Road. The lighthouse was open to the public between 1 and 4 p. m. , Tuesday through Saturday, during the months of July and August for many years, but in 2016, the DFO announced it could no longer lease the lighthouse due to safety concerns. The lighthouse is owned by the Canadian Coast Guard. Grounds/tower closed.
