H.R. Frink Outdoor Education Centre

Local school boards operate the outdoor education centre located at this 138 hectare (341 acres) Conservation Area. Many of the trails begin right at the main parking lot, radiating out into several different directions where hikers can explore a variety of habitats. Don’t forget to explore the other side of Thrasher Road where more Frink Centre trails will introduce you to even more features of the property. You can find horsetails and orchids on the 2-km Horsetail Trail, or check out the secretive wetland inhabitants on the 500-metre Wetland Ecology Boardwalk that crosses a Provincially Significant Wetland. The main parking lot gate closes at 4pm weekdays with walk-through access available every day. The south parking lot is open daily dawn to dusk.
