The Lake Laurentian Conservation Area is a hidden gem within city limits. Located ten minutes from downtown Sudbury, it is accessible by car, bicycle and also from Laurentian University. The 2,400 acres of protected green space is home to over 23 km of trails for hiking, biking, jogging, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. There is also a public boat launch for canoes and kayaks at the Nature Chalet. The Conservation Area is home to Camp Bitobig, and outdoor summer camp for children aged 6-12. It is also where we host our monthly events including: Earth Day, outdoor movie nights, astronomy night, guided nature hikes, animal tracking and so much more! Come out and join us!
