The calm beauty of Hazelwood Lake is the crown jewel of this Conservation Area. Enjoy the trails and amazing views as you explore. The lake offers a fantastic venue for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and fishing in the summer, and snowshoeing and ice fishing in the winter. The picnic shelter is a great place for an outdoor family reunion or barbeque.

Hazelwood Lake Nature Centre is the perfect location for weddings, parties, meetings, anything! The Centre is available to rent from May through October. The serenity of Hazelwood Lake is the perfect backdrop for you special event.

Also located at Hazelwood Lake Conservation Area is the Hazelwood Lake Education Cabin, which serves as the base of operations for the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority’s Environmental Education Programming.
