As Knapp Point Lighthouse is located at the end of a private lane, it is best viewed by boat or from the mainland. From the waterfront in Kingston, take the causeway east, passing Fort Henry, and continue for 5. 7 km (3. 5 miles), and then turn right onto Faircrest Crescent. As you approach the river, you will find Riverside Park, a green belt that gives public access to the shoreline. You can get a distant view of Knapp Point Lighthouse from this park.
