Description

Shifting to Engagement is a series of three workshops based on the complete volunteer management cycle. While all three workshops will provide a complete introductory and complementary series, it is not essential to attend all three. Certificates will be issued however if or when all three are completed. There is a value-add for both the organization and the volunteer in shifting to an impact focus when considering recognition and evaluation efforts. Calculating the years of service or assessing the ability to perform a task will always have a place in volunteer management, but recognizing and evaluating the level of impact a volunteer achieves is a beneficial volunteer engagement tool. At the conclusion of this workshop, you will have a solid understanding of how to appropriately recognize the good work of your volunteers and how to increase their satisfaction and performance through effective evaluation. After ample opportunity to discuss these practices with your peers, you will walk away with practical tools to help with implementation back at your own organization.
